Online Event – Livestream
As part of EU Green Week, the Silesian University of Technology is hosting an online training focusing on how we can reduce the environmental impacts of industrial saline wastewaters.
Saline industrial wastewaters create both economic and environmental challenges. Yet these wastewaters are also rich in minerals, and thus can also be a feedstock. During the workshop we will discuss the opportunities created by processing these industrial saline wastewaters, in particular the brines from coal mine dewatering.
The aim is to bring together brine owners (coal mining industry) and industries interested in finding new sources of minerals such as salt, demineralized water, and magnesium, together with technology providers and policy-makers.
